About Me

Marlene Hodges-Earl, PT, MPT
I’ve been a physical therapist for over 25 years and have extensive experience in all aspects of Physical Therapy. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. I have continued my education throughout the years, taking formal courses each year, and pouring over the web, discovering new ideas and approaches to best help my clients.

I am passionate about what I do and am very invested in my clients, relentlessly pursuing a positive outcome. I have insight to patterns of behavior that can lead to increasingly frequent episodes of chronic problems, or may keep new problems from resolving. I am a big believer in the education and empowerment of clients to ultimately care for themselves.

I am experienced in manual therapy, including joint mobilization and IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), modalities including kinesiotaping, and specialized exercise prescription, including safe strengthening techniques for patients with Osteoporosis/Osteopenia, avoiding the unnecessary risk of compression fractures.

On a personal level, I moved to Florida in 2015 from Southern California and LOVE it here! No traffic or pollution, and green, green, green everywhere! I enjoy photography, walking on the beach, and every sunrise and sunset wherever I am. I am the mother of 3 wonderful sons, with adventures in raising chickens and eating from the garden. I have always been passionate about traditionally prepared foods, chemical-free living, and alternative approaches to health care for my family.
